Twitter Language

    @(Username) – At Reply – When referring to another individual on Twitter RT @(Username) – Retweet – RT stands for retweet. A retweet is essentially a copy/paste of someone’s tweet that you think is interesting # – Hashtag – The pound sign (#) is known as a hashtag. Hashtags are used when referring to a trend or event. This is done to assist others following the event or trend and will appear in the Twitter Search Username, Handle -- A Twitter username is the same thing as a Twitter handle. One’s handle should contain fewer than 15 characters. Each Twitter username has a unique url. Example: http://twitter.com/username.
