B IG B ROTHERS /B IG S ISTERS

Mission
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a donor-supported
volunteer youth mentoring organization, which has
been placing caring adults in the lives of children in
one-to-one mentoring relationships since 1927.
Through the positive impact of those friendships,
children with a Big Brother or Big Sister are more
likely to graduate from high school and are less
likely to begin using drugs, begin using alcohol or
engage in negative conflict.

Volunteer Opportunities
We currently have 85 Little Brothers and Sisters in
Waco waiting for their Big today. These are great
kids who need a positive role model in their lives,
so please consider volunteering with us!

Volunteer Opportunities:
Filling food orders in the pantry
Helping with the Gifts in Kind program in the
warehouse

The mission of Christian Women’s Job Corps is to provide
women in need development of life skills and
employment education classes taught in a Christian
context where women mentor women. This purpose of
Christian Women’s Job Corps is to provide “Hands of
Hope” through educating, mentoring, and encouraging.

Mission
The mission of RSVP is to support individuals who initiate
positive change among their local and national
communities though volunteering. By utilizing
volunteer’s skills and experiences, RSVP creates a strong
force of citizens capable of helping non-profits sustain
themselves and serve the community effectively. Heart of
Texas RSVP links volunteers with non-profit organizations
in McLennan, Hill, Freestone, Limestone, Falls, and
Bosque counties.

Volunteer Opportunities
Organizations with which RSVP has a relationship offer
volunteers opportunities with animals, children,
education, food banks, hospice assistance, mentoring,
museums, and nursing homes.

Mission:
The purpose of the Hillcrest Auxiliary is to enhance the mission of
Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center: "To personally provide quality health
care and services in a Christian environment" through volunteer
commitment and support.


Mission
The mission of Talitha Koum is to improve outcomes for at-risk
children and their families from the Kate Ross government housing
neighborhood of South Waco through an intensive care
program. Beginning with a mental health therapeutic nursery for
birth to six-year-olds and comprehensive support for each child’s
family, we will grow to support our children through high school
graduation


For Talitha Koum to RISE, we need a host of committed devotees and
friends ~ community members who come alongside – effectively.
Whether that means you raise interest for Talitha Koum among your
friends, answer TKI’s phones for a couple of hours, repair a broken
door, volunteer to prep a mailing, sterilize our toys, mow the lawn,
request hand-me-downs for our parents’ Pick a Gift closet,
recommend us for a speaking engagement, or offer a unique talent
we can’t even name ~ that’s when Talitha Koum will RISE!
We also are seeking men and women of prayer and action.
