What is Aquaox ©
• Aquaox © is a solution with a different safe
chlorine compound (HOCL), that is produced
by a device using a simple solution of salt
and water.
• In applying these tests, the flowers were
treated in a closed space with a very fine mist
of this solution using a simple fogging device.

Summary of test design
• 20 flowers per treatment – Maroussia & Pinky Eye,
two Botrytis susceptible cultivars of Gerbera were used
Three treatments
1. Control = untreated (C)
2. Flowers (B1) treated with Aquaox (¾ hour)
3. Flowers (B2) treated with Aquaox twice (2 x ¾
hour)

After treatment, the containers were covered
with plastic => 100% RH


Conclusion
