INSECT BORNE DISEASE WORLDWIDE
Vector borne diseases account for 17% of all infectious diseases
3.4 billion people are at risk of malaria - many of these are children
2.5 billion people suffer from dengue in a 100 countries
The human and commercial costs devastates communities

MALARIA WORLDWIDE
 Every 60 seconds a child dies from malaria
 Current methods are not effective enough in preventing the disease
 Death and disabling conditions continue to increase

PRESENT-DAY PROTECTION FROM DISEASE CARRYING INSECTS

Mosquito nets only protect you at night

Many have holes and are ineffective

They are used for many unintended reasons

Such as fishing and garden fences

Defeating the principle - to prevent malaria

IRS – INDOOR RESIDUAL SPRAYING

Insect sprays have short term effect and can be harmful to people &
the environment

Insecticides and pesticides again have short term effect, are harmful
and non-effective

Indoor residual spraying or IRS is the process of spraying the inside
of dwellings. It is expensive and must be repeated every 3-6 months.
Vectorcide™ saving lives
PROBLEMS WITH INDOOR RESIDUAL SPRAYING IRS
 For IRS to be effective, at least 80% of homes and barns in an area must be
sprayed, or the program can be jeopardized.
 Residents complain of an uncomfortable lingering smell
 It is carcinogenic
 The product wears off quickly and leaves the home unprotected
Vectorcide™ saving lives
Outdoor spraying of carcinogenic chemicals like DDT
DDT is often sprayed from aircraft
Vehicles spray public areas
They have little effect in reality
They cause health and environmental issues

WHY IS VECTORCIDE COATING MORE EFFECTIVE?
IT KILLS INSECTS WHERE THEY LAND OR CRAWL
– 24/7
 Flying insects land on surfaces in a building before biting feeding
 IMMEDIATELY THEY ARE AFFECTED BY THE VECTORCIDE COATING
 No Sprays – No Gels – No Nets
 Just paint and leave – once only application
 Continues to kill insects for up to 2 years
 Works on all types of insect
Vectorcide™ saving lives
KILLS - NOT REPELLS INSECTS

TECHNOLOLOGY AT IT’S VERY BEST
VECTORCIDE IS RELEASED FROM THE

WHAT IS VECTORCIDE COATING?
Vectorcide™ saving lives

Vectorcide Coating is a clear,
insecticidal, water-based coating

Its unique property attacks the nervous
and muscular system of insects.

When a mosquito lands on the treated
surface, the result is paralysis and
death within a few minutes.

Some insect types take longer to die
but once affected they will not recover

Available in 1, 5 and 25 litres
The effectiveness of the product will continue for many years after application
making Vectorcide™ both economically and functionally efficient.
METHODS OF APPLICATION
Vectorcide Coating can be applied by brush, roller or spraying equipment

Apply thin even coat to prime areas where insects will
land, crawl and live

The product dries in approximately 2 hours (touch dry)

Coverage is approximately 40m2 depending on surface

Use as per label instructions for best performance
Vectorcide™ saving lives
Non harmful to children or animals
Can be used on any surface including food areas
No smell or mess

VECTORCIDE LARVAE CONTROL

Controlled delivery method

Prevents mosquito larvae from reaching adulthood



Breaks the cycle from larvae to flying insect

Larvacide Granule
 Solid Weighted Core (Sand)
 Gypsum layer holding the capsules
 Larvacide released by water

The encapsulated larvacide granule sinks to bottom of water

It dissolves slowly releasing an advanced larvae growth inhibitor

It targets all types of mosquito and does not pollute the water

VECTORCIDE IN AGRICULTURE
 Vectorcide has many potential uses in agriculture.
 Many breeds of animals suffer from vector borne diseases and pest infestations
 Affected animals produce less sustenance for the people
 One example of an animal suffering from such a problem occurs when poultry
become infested with red mite and lose weight or die
 Improving the food chain

TESTING AND APPROVALS

The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
(LSHTM), has confirmed Vectorcide’s™ ability to eradicate
malaria carrying mosquito.

In the field evaluation has been successfully carried out in
Zambia and other malaria belt countries
Vectorcide™ saving lives
Results have shown that Vectorcide™ continues to be effective at
least two years after initial application.
Vectorcide Insecticidal Coating - Overcoming Insect Resistance To
Insecticides
* It is recognised that insects of all types my have a resistance to many insecticides
where the formulation of insecticides has remained the same over the years and
where it has been used excessively.
*This is similar the as the human problem with superbugs such as MRSA, VRE and
ESBL developing a resistance to antibiotics where they have been overused.
Vectorcide has addressed this problem to produce a better ‘knock-down’
performance of a standard insecticide, using specialised, advanced additives
that enhance the Lambda efficacy
Vectorcide uses a lower amount of active ingredient “Lambda cyhalothrin” yet
achieves superior results.
Lambda cyhalothrin
*Vectorcide chose Lambda for its safe approach to the environment. When used as a
liquid spray, it is highly toxic to aquatic life and fish, but when formulated in our
coating, it is not harmful to the environment.

Larvicide Overview
Vectorcide Granules - Advanced Larvicide Solution
Vectorcide granules are an effective solution to breaking the mosquito lifecycle. They will help to reduce the instances of deaths and discomfort of
malaria, yellow fever, dengue and other vector borne diseases.
The granules are an advanced form of Larvicide that only targets and
affects mosquito larvae. It works by using a hormone growth inhibitor that
prevents the larvae from reaching maturity / adulthood. Therefore they
never emerge from the water as biting insects.
The active ingredient
The active used in Vectorcide Granules, is a form of Piriproxyfen which is
a WHO and WHOPES approved ingredient
This is totally safe for the environment and all other species and only
affects mosquito larvae.
