Objectives
1. Be able to obtain relevant history of disease
and trauma affecting musculoskeletal system
2. Be able to perform proper clinical
examination of the musculoskeletal system
for orthopedic and trauma

3. Able to request appropriate investigations to
help reaching a diagnosis of common
musculoskeletal trauma and common
orthopedic diseases
4. Understand the basic principles of
management of common fractures and
dislocations and common orthopedic
diseases
Duration
• Total: six weeks:

Two weeks theoretical knowledge and tutorials
Four weeks clinical rotation in hospitals
• Outpatient, inpatient, operating room, cast
room,…
• Includes one day / week in the college (Sunday)

Tutorials, practicing history taking, clinical examination,
and case scenarios for management
Assessment
• 30% Written: MCQs

10% at end of first two weeks (7 topics)
20% at end of rotation (all topics)
