What we do:

ORCATECH is transforming clinical research with in-home continuous assessment technologies that collect data in real time, all the time.

We specialize in:

• Continuous assessment technologies: consultation, design and development.

• Sensor-based clinical trial consultation & coordination • Algorithm development and Big Data analysis.

ORCATECH

Tracy Zitzelberger

Current assessment practice is limited.

• Infrequent assessments • Depends on self-report • Conducted at a clinic on provider’s schedule • Assumes exam indicates typical function • Hard to track across the course of illness • Limited knowledge of life context (e.g., sleep, socialization, physical activity)

• Research indicates a relationship between activity and health problems.

• In-home activity patterns are impacted by most health issues e.g., depression, injury, Parkinson’s, dementia.

• Key factors in ability to live independently: mobility and cognition.
