MSL 202, Lesson 04a: Introduction to Terrain Analysis
In February 2014 the sophomore class of the University of Dayton Army ROTC class was given an assignment to do a terrain analysis of the university. This analysis would help in developing a defense plan against a viral outbreak with symptoms best described as zombies. They had to critically think about not only re-animated corpses but also the panic that would ensue with the general public and how best they could defend the university. The following slides shows the situation and their plan.

SITUATION
Currently the city of Cincinnati is experiencing a viral outbreak with symptoms best described as a “Zombie outbreak”. The University of Cincinnati has provided UD an informational video to assist in developing a defense strategy.
The University of Dayton Police and Emergency services fears this virus will spread up the I-75 corridor to Dayton and UD. UD Police has requested UDROTC assistance in preparing a defense plan to secure the University and conduct a terrain analysis.
You have whatever resources you can find on campus (that includes a secure water supply (fountain KU field), 60 cadets, 40 M16 rifles, 5000 rds. of ammo, and 50 cases of MREs.
Wright Patterson Air Force Base is closed and will not allow anyone to enter or leave.
