• Housed in the Brigham Library of
ETS.
• Brigham Library staff indexes,
abstracts and maintains the
collection.

Obtaining Tests
• Purchase tests from test publishers.
• Write to authors whose tests we identify.
• Receive donations of historical tests from
ETS staff members or from collections
that are downsizing.
– Provides history of educational values of the
past.
– Sometimes the only documented copy.

• Many tests in collection are propriety.
ETS has signed agreements with
publishers to keep them secure.
• Tests kept in locked cabinets; retrieved by
library staff only.
• The physical collection open to ETS staff
only.

– Authors give ETS permission to redistribute.
– Tests converted to microfiche.
– Distributed by:
• individual test ($15/ea)
• individual set (approx. 20 tests) ($150/ea)
• all 30 sets ($4500).
– Sets compiled as permission is granted.
There’s usually no relationship among the
tests in a set.
– Index to Tests in Microfiche ($11).
