TECNO TELECOM LIMITED, established in July 2006 in Hong Kong, is a
comprehensive mobile phone manufacturer specializing in R&D, manufacturing,
sales and service. With years of development, it has now become one of the major
mobile phone suppliers in the world and one of the largest mobile phone
manufacturers in China.
In 2008, TECNO decided to focus on Africa as its key market and accordingly
launched TECNO brand and another sub-brand itel. Through three years of efforts,
TECNO has achieved initial success with its outstanding and unique marketing
strategy, and has now become one of the most popular mobile phone brands in
many countries in Africa. Besides, it has been recognized as the NO.1 Dual SIM
mobile phone brand in those countries including Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana, etc.
In 2010, TECNO has ascended into the top three mobile phone brands in Africa.
In 2011, TECNO received the GHANA CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARDS given by
Organization for Customer Service Excellence-Gh in honor of TECNO PHONES
BRAND being the most customer trusted brand for the year 2011-2012.
In 2012, TECNO was adjudged“Mobile Phone of the Year”at the second Ghana
Telecom Awards held in Accra, Ghana.
In April, 2012, TECNO, MOBIWIRE (The ex-Sagem wireless) and Earning Way
Investments jointly founded a new brand-Infinix which will be fully focused
on Android smartphones.

TecnoMobile App challenge is hosted by Tecno and
designed to motivate and reward Nigerian, Kenyan
& Ethiopian developers entering the contest who
develop innovative, functional and original J2ME &
Android applications on Tecno mobiles. The
ultimate goal of the contest is to expose the hidden
talent within the African developers’ community and
to seek potential partners / employees of Tecno in
the future.

Please follow WTK standard to ensure it will run well on
Tecno phones. Do not use any API from third parties, like
Nokia's API; Using JSRXXX expansion package...etc.

1. Platinum: 1,000,000 Naira + 1 Tecno Android phone
2. Gold: 500,000 Naira + 1 Tecno Android phone

30% of all valid entries.
J2ME:
1. Platinum: 400,000 Naira + 1 Tecno Android phone

Your app will be judged by AFRICAN USERS ONLY:
We’ll open a Downloading ZONE on PalmPlay, the application store
exclusively on Tecno mobile phones.
The prize list will be in accordance with the app’s downloads accumulated
from the Downloading Zone during September ~ November, 2013.
