Update on Spring Assessments
 Little has changed, except “transitional test” is now
“field test.”
 In January, CETE released additional Practice Tests
containing all the technology-enhanced items
students will encounter. ksassessment.org
 Currently, all forms are going through a quality
control process.
 Testing window opens March 10.

 The transitional assessment will serve as the
backbone for the new Kansas College and Career

 Re-think how we identify “Not Making
Progress” schools
Move the use of using student
growth data to inform personnel
decisions
 Results from the state assessments would
not be used in teacher/leader evaluations
until the 2017-18 school year.
