Objective:
– The aim of these lessons is to provide students with information on the
clinics, diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases.
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the lessons, students should
understand the following:
– The invasive and noninvasive diagnostic methods in cardiology
– History and physical examination in patients with cardiac complaints
– ECG interpretation
– Clinical characteristics and management of common heart diseases
– Primary and secondary prevention in atherosclerosis
– Cardiac involvement in systemic diseases and pregnancy
Contents
– Management of acute and chronic ischemic heart diseases,
management of heart failure, valvular heart diseases and infective
endocarditis, diagnosis and treatment of common arrhythmias,
cardiomyopathies and pericardial diseases, diagnosis and management
of hypertension, diagnosis and management of hyperlipidemia and
metabolic syndrome, cardiac involvement in systemic diseases.

– The student faculty representative is invited to join
faculty executive board meetings in matters regarding
students’ affairs
