What does the system do?

• Replaces two separate CoI disclosure systems: – CoIR management system – Big Brain Conflict of Interest module (OA/Exec) • All in one disclosure system that satisfies all disclosure requirements, based on role.

• Required disclosers: – Researchers – Faculty/managers/fiscal authority/clinicians – Executives 3

Research disclosure requirements:

• Satisfies requirements of revised regulations. – http://www.ohsu.edu/xd/research/about/integrity/coi/index.cfm

• Your disclosure is due the earlier of: – Your regular annual CoIR disclosure date

OR

– By the time of your next grant award (including non-competing renewals) 4

Research disclosure requirements:

• New CoIR regulation also requires that researchers be trained. Integrity Booster will include required training to be completed by next grant award.

• Travel disclosures: late breaking news…only those with PHS funding need to submit (NIH, CDC, AHRQ, HRSA, etc). Start on compliance date effective for you.
