brotherhood or otherwise, having as its objects the
study, safeguarding and development of the economic,
social and educational interests of its members and
particularly the negotiation and application of
collective agreements









The CVTA is a member union of QPAT, representing
the 9 local unions of the English sector in Quebec
The affairs of the CVTA are administered by the
Executive Committee (7 members including the
President): President, V-P Elem, V-P Secondary, V-P
Adult & Tech Voc, Treasurer, Secretary, Chairperson
The Executive answers to the Representatives’ Council
which consists of representatives from each school and
centre and meets at least 5 times per year. Schools and
Centres have (as per the CVTA Constitution) official
voting representation in a 20:1 (or part thereof) ratio.
At least once per year (usually in May) there is a
General Meeting for the entire membership.

The affairs of the CVTA are administered by the

Adult & Tech Voc, Treasurer, Secretary, Chairperson
The Executive answers to the Representatives’ Council
which consists of representatives from each school and
centre and meets at least 5 times per year. Schools and
Centres have (as per the CVTA Constitution) official
voting representation in a 20:1 (or part thereof) ratio.
At least once per year (usually in May) there is a
General Meeting for the entire membership.
