Preface

During the 80s, Taiwan’s economy is migrating quickly towards high technology. This is the era of economic growth. However, in an era of booming globalization, individual companies are unable to cope with the impact of global competition.

Therefore, synergy becomes the key success factor in the strong competitiveness of the industry.

The Corporate Synergy Development Center (CSD) provides synergy system consulting to domestic industries, including up, mid, and downstream corporations. With this activity, the CSD not only improves cooperation between industries, but also positions Taiwan’s economy for higher growth.

About Scope of Service For 20 years, the CSD has focused on the research and enhancement of Total Lean Management (TLM), Total Productive Management (TPM), and Total Quality Management (TQM) skills.

The CSD is assisting industry in building a strong network between enterprise systems.

It is creating the operational effects of mutual trust, aid and reciprocation among value chain collaborators.

The CSD utilizes Total Local Revitalization (TLR) and Total Customer Experience (TCE) methodologies in helping traditional industries enrich their cultural creativity, and thus move featured commercial districts, fine foods, the health care industry, and featured crafts into a new edge of integrate service.

The CSD provides methodologies for upgrading enterprise manufacturing processes, collaboration commerce and value chain management. The CSD’s fostering of vertical and horizontal cooperation is strengthening the network between enterprise and industry.

By using the 4 key elements of the local network management method (organization, designing, marketing and management), the CSD provided a systematic methodology for building cultural innovation, value improvement and networking, thus enhancing local business operational capabilities.

The CSD held the National Commercial District Annual Meeting, organized Commercial District Awards, built an e learning platform and created the business “learning resume”.

A few of CSD’s success stories: Danshuei, Jinming 1st Street (Taichung City), Sanfeng Central Street (Kaohsiung City), Kenting (Pingtung County) and Magong (Penghu County).

Quality Control Circle, QCC In the past 22 years, 219 corporations obtained a total of 528 awards, while using the methodology of group improvement. National Quality Award The NQA is the most prestigious domestic quality honor presented by the Executive Yuan.

Enterprises can upgrade their overall quality, strengthen the organization, and improve their competitive position, by applying and competing for the award.

The National Quality Award was established 20 years ago. Since then, 1,066 candidates (corporate and individual) have applied, with 106 of them winning.

Agricultural Technology Elite Award TPM Award (Japan) Certified by JIPM, Japan, the CSD introduced TPM to nearly 100 domestic corporations, with many renowned corporations winning the award.

This is the first award in Taiwan that encourages excellent performance in R&D and marketing in the agriculture business.

In the first round of competition, 9 businesses were awarded the Agricultural Technology Elite Award.

About Marketing of 3,000 Culture Products The CSD was contracted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs to promote an innovate business model, ‘OTOP’ (One Town One Product). Since then, a new life style has been created in Taiwan. The program organizes enterprise clusters, and then links regional landscape, local history, and industry culture, to nurture regional innovation, and to create a new value- added business model.
