I use a stick to temporarily mount the front of the gas tank
when running in the motor and finishing up prior to
installing the pianale or furgone.

Throttle slide sat up too high in the carb – upper and lower
nut too far apart, shortening the cable
Shortening the distance between them lengthens the cable
allowing the slide to drop to the bottom of the carb where it
belongs.
