MassDEP is undertaking a comprehensive reform effort to address the fact that resources are out of alignment with its responsibilities. Agency Staffing is at levels not seen since the mid-1980s REGULATORY REFORM INTERNAL RESTRUCTURING INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY REDESIGN Three Threads of MassDEP Reform Effort Legacy systems / architecture prevent MassDEP from implementing needed change EEA/IT resources not available to develop enterprise systems suitable to meet needs of MassDEP staff & external customers What is EIPAS? Information transformation project that will advance, align, expand, and transform the manner in which EEA’s six secretariat agencies execute timely, predictable, and cost-effective business functions.
