Assessment
• Assessment Calendar
• Medical Certificate required for absence from each
formal assessment item, including during exam block:
– Short term medical absence - contact the Head of KLA/subject
area and Head of House
– Medium / Long Term medical absence: Parents must contact
Head of Teaching and Learning to arrange Special Consideration
or Special Provision as per College Assessment Policy.
• “Late” assignments will not contribute positively to final
results but still must be submitted to gain credit for
completing that semester.
Exams
• Exam blocks at the end of each term
• Absence from an exam requires a medical
certificate. Parents must contact the Head of
KLA to arrange an alternative exam time
and/or task.
• Avoid arranging events which require students
to miss any part of the term wherever possible.
Communication with Staff
• Subject teachers and Heads of House – contact via email or phone;
• Attend parent-teacher interviews (if you have concerns
about your son’s progress);
• Head of KLA or subject – contact if you have further
concerns about your son’s progress or concerns about
teaching and learning issues;
• Head of Teaching and Learning– contact if you have
ongoing curriculum concerns or to apply for special
consideration.
