1.UVOD
 Intresting life and culture;
 What do the do at their notable special
days and holidays;

2.FESTIVALS
 Sweep festival
Mix of music, dancing
and entertainment,
opportunity to see
some of the traditional
dances and hear the
songs witch have been
past down from
generation to
generation.
 Morris dancing
Traditional folkdancing
performed by groups
of men or women.
It has been passed down
through generation.
Usualy is performed at
festivals.
 Sword dancing
Dancers are linked in a
ring holding blunt
swords.
It is a fast dance; elegant
weaving movements
created by the dancers
passing over and
under the swords
whilst remaining
linked.
3.HOLIDAYS AND
NOTABLE SPECIAL DAYS
 Many festivals and holidays in Britain are
centuries old. Every town, village in Britain
has its own traditions, some involving
months of careful planning and
preparations of costumes and
choreography, others requiring simply a
worrying desire to make a complete and
utter fool of oneself.
4.COSTUME
British national costume
 Scotland; the national
dress is a kilt.

 Wales; national costume
of Wales is a long skirt,
worn with a petticoat and
topped with a shawl.
5.RELIGION
The official religion of
England is
Christianity.
Most Christians
belong to the
Church of England
or the Church of
Scotland.
 There are large
Hindu, Jewish,
Muslim and Sikh
communities, and
also smaller
communities of
Buddhists, Jains,
as well as followers
of new religious
movement.
