For Salt Lake Community College students who own a car, is the price for their car related to their GPA?

   Sampling Method: Simple Random Strata: ◦ Jordan, Taylorsville and South City Campuses 50 samples from each campus.

Price of car recorded as price paid when purchased and current GPA was used.

  Well over half of the students had cars in the < $20,000 range Only a very small number had cars costing over $30,000

As you can see the box plot is skewed heavily to the right, due to the high number of relatively moderate priced vehicles in conjunction with a few in the higher price range.

The mean price of a car was $12,523 while the range was over $50,000

  The ranges with the most students were   3.0-3.24

3.5-3.74

The majority were over 3.0.

This box plot is skewed to the left due to infrequency of students with a low GPA

The mean GPA was 3.36, and ranged from 2.0 to 4.0
