Why did you want to be a
zookeeper?
 Do you like working with

For them to learn about
animals and spend time

 I think they thought it
was a good career by
how the lady described
it.

Zookeeper Duties
They don’t actually even
have to touch the animals
most of the time.
 There are other jobs
besides just zookeepers at
the zoo.
 There are a lot of
responsibilities as a
zookeeper.
 Zookeepers don’t have to
deal with dangerous jobs,
but before I thought they
did.

They clean the animal
cages
 They feed animals and
sometimes give them a
bath
 They help keep the zoo
in order
 They help with animals
for the most part of the
time


I learned zookeepers…
Zoo Visit Reflection
I was most surprised by all the other
things done at the zoo besides just
taking care of animals.
 I would not like a zoo related career
because I am not the biggest fan of
working with animals and spending time
with animals.
 My favorite part of the zoo visit was
learning new information about animals
and the zoo.


What I did at
Architecture/Construction Camp





I got to work with construction tools.
I got to see and learn some new things.
We learned new information about a career
even if it’s not what we want to do.
Got to go on computers and talked about
SD My Life.
We cut wood and hammered nails for
construction work, also we saw where the
new police building was being built.

Reflection
I was surprised by you don’t have to do as
much manually labor with certain things.
 My favorite activity at camp was learning
about the SD My Life part because it was
interesting and fun.
 I would not like to pursue a career in the
Architecture/Construction related cluster
because it is not what I am interested in
and is not the career for me, but I have
respect for people who have this job.

