Pensionado Status, Canadian Citizen.
The Pensionado (Retiree) applicant must
demonstrate a permanent fixed income from a
pension or similar retirement income of
US$1,000 per month for life.

Marriage certificate.
Letter of Good Conduct from local police.
Proof of a pension that provides a guaranteed minimum of
US$1,000 per month for life.
6. Registration with the Canadian Embassy in Costa Rica upon
arrival.
- Documents 2 to 5 must have been issued within 6 months of
time of application.
Passport:
Must be valid for a minimum of 6 months duration.
The Birth Certificate,
The Marriage Certificate,
The Letter of Good Conduct from Local Police,
Proof of a Pension.
If pension is from private source, i.e. company pension, signature is to be
notarized.
Upon receipt, these documents are to be sent to Foreign Affairs Canada.

Upon return to you, these documents are to be sent to the closest Costa Rican
Embassy or Consul to be Consularized.
Bring the resulting paperwork with you to meet with GSE’s personnel here in
Costa Rica.

for Pensionado Status:
Passport:
Must be valid for a minimum of 6 months duration.
The Birth Certificate,
The Letter of Good Conduct from Local Police.
The Letter of Good Conduct signature must be notarized.
Upon receipt, these documents are to be sent to Foreign Affairs Canada.
