The Pensionado (Retiree) applicant must
demonstrate a permanent fixed income from a
pension or similar retirement income of
US$1,000 per month for life.

Letter of Good Conduct from local police.
Proof of a pension that provides a guaranteed minimum of
US$1,000 per month for life.
6. Registration with the Canadian Embassy in Costa Rica upon
arrival.
- Documents 2 to 5 must have been issued within 6 months of
time of application.
Passport:
 Must be valid for a minimum of 6 months duration.
The Birth Certificate,
The Marriage Certificate,
The Letter of Good Conduct from Local Police,
Proof of a Pension.
 If pension is from private source, i.e. company pension, signature is to be
notarized.
Upon receipt, these documents are to be sent to Foreign Affairs Canada.

 Upon return to you, these documents are to be sent to the closest Costa Rican
Embassy or Consul to be Consularized.

 Must be valid for a minimum of 6 months duration.
The Birth Certificate,
The Letter of Good Conduct from Local Police.
 The Letter of Good Conduct signature must be notarized.
