What is the Tough Mudder
Tough Mudder is an endurance event series in which participants attempt 10 to 12mile long military-style obstacle courses. Designed and created by British Special
Forces to test physical strength, stamina, teamwork and mental grit. Known as the
Toughest Event on the Planet the obstacles often play on common human fears,
such as fire, water, electricity and heights.
The main principle of the Tough Mudder revolves around teamwork. Participants
must commit to helping others complete the course, putting teammates before
themselves, and overcoming fears.

Sense of community and team…it was truly great
to hear the stories of wounded warriors and

Motivation – No matter how old you are, you can do
anything you put your mind to!
•
Realization that people are genuinely kind. To be in the
midst of hundreds of strangers who helped motivate
each other and lend a helping hand was so awesome!
Especially considering it was a competitive event.
Beyond that, the instant comradery I felt from our team
made me appreciate the fact that no matter who you
are, we are all one when it comes to attaining a goal,
which in this case, was to complete the Tough Mudder.
No man left behind!!
