Mistaking
The Identity of Christ
In The One Body
Part (5)
Compiled and Illustrated from
The study of The Word of GOD
And The Spirit of Prophecy, February 2015
By using the framework of faith, as illustrated in Part (1)
through to Part (4), to focus the eyes of our spiritual
discernment, upon The Things of GOD in The Identity of Christ,
this series of studies on the reports already given by The Word of
The LORD, through His servants, with help from The LORD by
the study of HIS Word, we will know and understand all the
parts as a whole, at the end of this series of presentations. And we
would have attained hopefully, a more perfect understanding on
The Identity of Christ, from the study of GOD’S Word and from
The Spirit of Prophecy.
As Jesus said to His disciples, “…it is given unto you to know the
mysteries of the kingdom of heaven”, and He by His servant
Paul, said, “Because that which may be known of God is manifest
in them; for God hath shewed [it] unto them. For the invisible
things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made, [even] his eternal
power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Romans
1:19, 20).
To further confirm that The Invisible Things of Christ are
revealed in and by His servants, John testified in his report that,
“…greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” For
Paul said of Him, “…we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus
the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. For God,
who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined
in our hearts, to [give] the light of the knowledge of the glory of
God in the face of Jesus Christ. But we have this treasure in
earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God,
and not of us” (2 Corinthians 4:5-7).
But The Treasures of Christ, Which are hid in His earthen
vessels, They reveal far more of Him than many have perceived
by their eyes of faith. Jesus used many of the things of creation,
to reveal The Things of His Kingdom. Like a seed that is planted
in the ground, which grows to full bloom and bears fruit, one
cannot know of the type of tree until the seed has born it’s fruit.
And in revealing Himself to His disciples, as a Vine, Jesus said…
“I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away:
and every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it
may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the
word which I have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in
you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it
abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I
am the vine, ye [are] the branches: He that abideth in me,
and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for
without me ye can do nothing” (John 15:1-5).
In these Words, Christ Jesus has Testified of Himself and of The
Father, and has revealed a fundamental pillar, upon which our
faith should be built, in our understanding of His Personality, or
His Individuality. Jesus did not just say that He is The Vine. No.
He added another word in His Testimony, to define the type of
Vine That describes Him. And that word is “True”, which
distinguishes Him from the false representation of Him. Jesus
also Testified of The Father, WHOM He calls The
HUSBANDMAN, which is a word that describes The Father, as
“The Vine Dresser”. And HE--The Father dresses Him with
many branches.
As it was revealed in our study in (Part 2) that, “While we look
not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not
seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things
which are not seen [are] eternal” (2 Corinthians 4:18).
Our faith is built upon the substance of The Things we hope to
comprehend, by the tangible evidence that we see of The Invisible
Things of Christ, Whom we do not see with our eyes, but with the
understanding of our minds.
So, we do not focus our eyes upon that, which we can see, with
our eyes, but we do focus our understanding upon The Things of
Christ, based upon the things created by Him to reveal Him.
With our understanding of a vine, which grows from one source,
and puts forth branches, which bears fruit from the connection
that is established from the source through the vine, then if there
is no connection of the branches to the vine, then the branches
that are disconnected from the vine, they cannot bear fruit,
because they receive not life from the source through the
connection established from the source through the vine. And as
a result of no connection to the vine, the branches that are
disconnected falls away in death, with no root system to give life
from the source.
This may be a simple illustration that is put forth in these words,
but it reveals far more to our understanding of The Things of
GOD than we can see and comprehend in our first glance with
our minds. This means that we need to go back and look more
closely at what Jesus is revealing to us about Himself being The
True Vine.
At the beginning of this series of study on “Mistaking The
Identity of Christ”, we read a quote from Ellen G. White, who
wrote and said…"The spiritualistic theories regarding the
personality of God, followed to their logical conclusion, sweep
away the whole Christian economy." {1SM 203.4}
The whole Christian economy would indeed be swept away,
because of the logical conclusions drawn by men, who base their
faith upon their source of wisdom from the world, and not from
GOD, as The Source through their study of HIS Word. If our
faith is not founded in GOD’S Word, then it cannot bear fruit
from GOD by HIS Word.
The logical conclusions upon, which men have erected, to place
their faith, these logical conclusions do sweep away the whole
Christian economy of the treasures of GOD, by their rejection of
The Testimony of Christ Jesus, Who came among men to bear
fruit by revealing to us The Father through Himself. But the
logical conclusions upon, which men have place their faith;
teaches us that there are three Co-Eternal Beings, Who CoExisted without a beginning from before the world was.
From the logical conclusion drawn from the wisdom of the world,
we cannot know the relationship between these three Co-Eternal,
Co-Equal Beings, Who Co-Existed without a beginning. Because,
according to the logical conclusions, these Three Co-Eternal, CoEqual Beings, have assumed rolls, to relate to man, rather than
man relating to GOD, according to The Image HE has revealed
in man and nature to testify of HIM.
Like the illustration of the vine, which is presented to reveal The
True Vine of GOD, it does not reveal a vine that existed as a
branch-less vine that was fully grown, before it began to bear
branches, to bear fruit. That idea is not presented in The
Scriptures, nor is it presented in book of nature. A tree does not
grow to its’ full stock before putting forth its’ branches to bear
fruit. To believe the wisdom of the world in place of The
Scriptures, men must also reject The Testimony of The Word,
Who Testified that He came from GOD. For by his connection to
The Word of GOD, Who came unto him, John bore the fruit of
The Word, to bear witness for Him, saying…
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God. The same was in the
beginning with God. All things were made by him; and
without him was not any thing made that was made. In
him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the
light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended
it not” (John 1:1-5).
Notice the four main points of the illustration, which Jesus used to
reveal Himself, as The True Vine.
The
HUSBANDMAN --The True Vine ---The branches --The Fruit
As a branch of The True Vine, John bore fruit in his witness of The
True Vine and said of Him…

John also said of The Word of GOD that…

In Paul’s witness of bearing The Light of GOD’S Word of
Light and Life, to those in darkness, he said…
“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet
to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and
hath translated [us] into the kingdom of his dear Son: In
whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the
forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God,
the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things
created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible
and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers: all things were created by him,
and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all
things consist” (Colossians 1:12-17).
Paul bore fruit to the church in his witness, --------------------and said…

and by Him--------- all things consist.
darkness
Notice that it is by The Word of GOD that all things are created;
for it is by Him that all things do consist.
The question then is this: What is the meaning of the word
“consist”? This word is defined as…
1) to place together, to set in the same place, to bring or band
together
1a) to stand with (or near)
2) to set one with another
2a) by way of presenting or introducing him
2b) to comprehend
3) to put together by way of composition or combination, to
teach by combining and comparing
3a) to show, prove, establish, exhibit
4) to put together, unite parts into one whole
4a) to be composed of, consist
Notice what this meaning of the word consist is describing. When
we use our understanding of trees to comprehend The Invisible
things of GOD, we know that from the root system of a tree, to
the leaves that form the branches upon the tree, and even the
fruits that are born among the branches from the life giving sap
that is received from the root system through the limbs of that
tree; they all are comprised of parts of a whole tree. The tree then
is comprised not only of the roots, but also of all the parts that
makes up a tree.
The word “Consist” is defined then as one of the words that are
used to define “Existence”, to exist.
Jesus used a vine to illustrate that we exist by our connection to
GOD through our connection to Him, through Whom GOD The
Father made all things for Him. Jesus called The Father The
HUSBANDMAN, which means that HE is “The Vine
DRESSER”.
Through Christ--The Word, as The Vine, The Father created
many branches for Christ Kingdom, which consist of all things
that were created by Him in heaven, and in earth; visible and
invisible, whether they comprised of thrones, or dominions, or
principalities, or powers, they all, exist by GOD, WHO sustains
all things by The Power of HIS Word--Christ Jesus, Who
connects all things by Him to GOD.
The branches of a tree do not disconnect from a vine, to
reconnect directly to the roots. This illustration is seen in our
world, when the seasons have changed from summer to fall. And
the fall season gets its’ name primarily from the falling of the
leaves of the trees, which is an illustration that teaches us the
result of loosing the connection of The Vine, which brings death,
and is contrary to life.
In speaking of The Vine DRESSER, WHO dresses Him with
many branches in His Kingdom, Jesus said to His disciples that,
“Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and
every [branch] that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring
forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I
have spoken unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch
cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can
ye, except ye abide in me” (John 15:2-4).
Notice that the branches that bear not fruit, The Vine DRESSER
take away. But every branch that bears fruit, HE The Vine
DRESSER purges, to make clean that the branches might bear
more fruit. Jesus said to His disciples that they were made clean
through The Word spoken unto them. And He made it clear that
they were to abide in Him, and He in them, because a branch
cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in The Vine.
In essence, He is saying to them that all, who abide in Him, as
The True Vine, they are the branches that exist and are an
extension of Him and His Kingdom. All, who abide in Him, and
He in us, will bring forth much fruit: for without Him, we can
literally do nothing.
If all things consist, by The Word of GOD, Whose Life and Light
abides in us, then those who abide not in Him, Who is Light and
Life, they are choosing to be none existent, to no longer exist;
because man is not GOD, to be Self-Existing, with no need of The
Power of GOD’S Word, to live by Him.
In her writings on Christ--The Word of GOD, and of The Father,
Ellen G. White wrote and said…
“The Sovereign of the universe was not alone in His work of
beneficence. He had an associate--a co-worker who could
appreciate His purposes, and could share His joy in giving
happiness to created beings. "In the beginning was the Word, and
the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in
the beginning with God." John 1:1, 2. Christ, the Word, the only
begotten of God, was one with the eternal Father--one in nature,
in character, in purpose--the only being that could enter into all
the counsels and purposes of God.
"His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6. His
"goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting." Micah 5:2.
And the Son of God declares concerning Himself: "The Lord
possessed Me in the beginning of His way, before His works of old.
I was set up from everlasting. . . . When He appointed the
foundations of the earth: then I was by Him, as one brought up
with Him: and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before
Him." Proverbs 8:22-30. (Patriarch and Prophets, pg 34, par 1)
The Son of GOD is The Word of GOD, Who comes from GOD,
and works HIS works in revealing HIS Same Nature, Character
and the purpose of The Father in all that He does. He--The Word
works in us to reveal through us the same goal that is in Him. As
we continue to behold Him, we are change from glory to glory to
reveal The Image of Him, Who is The Express Image of The
Father. For we are to co-labor with Him and The Father in
reaching out to the lost, who are in darkness and death, of being
disconnected from Christ, Who connects us to GOD.
If the church has received the wrong image of Christ, by false
prophets, who deny The Spirit of Truth in them, to sweep away
The Truth of heavenly origin, and entertained the sophistries
advocated by some, then how can the church discern the
sophistries of the spiritualistic theories, if she preaches boldly the
errors within the church, as the grand truths made prominent, to
make of no effect The Truth of heavenly origin?
The church cannot discern the sophistries of the spiritualistic
theories, without first discerning The Truth of heavenly origin, to
distinguish between Truth and error. She needs to see and know
The Truth, to discern the sophistries of the spiritualistic theories.
And to do this, we must behold The Word of GOD, Whom GOD
has revealed to HIS church, through those, who have born The
Fruit of His Testimony through them.
As Paul said, “For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he
may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ” (1
Corinthians 2:16), Who is The Faithful Witness of GOD
according to John’s testimony in Revelation 1:5. But many, who
have not heard The Word of Truth, they have continued to say
that The Spirit is a Mystery, and are saying, Who can hear this
hard saying?
From the illustration of The True Vine given by Christ Jesus,
Who is The Image of The Invisible GOD, WHOM no man has
seen, the disciple John has born fruit in his witness, and said…
“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten
Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared
[him]” (John 1:18).
Notice that John has testified that No man hath seen GOD at any
time. He also has testified of this Truth in his epistle, in 1 John
4:12, saying that The Same Word, Who makes us clean by what
He has spoken to us, He is The Same Word, Who has declared
The Things of GOD to all, who will hear Him, to receive Him,
that He might abide in us, and we in Him.
Because of the deception of the adversary, man was led to believe
that we can exist by being like GOD, to be Self-Existing, to die
not. By not abiding in The Truth of GOD’S Word, the deception
of the adversary led our first parents to sin, to loose the
connection to GOD, through HIS Word of Light and Life. This
deception was not discerned by Eve, because death is not
comprised of GOD’S Kingdom through HIS Son, Who is The
Out shining of HIS Glory of Light and Life.
In her writing, Ellen G. White wrote….
“All through the pages of sacred history, where the dealings of
God with His chosen people are recorded, there are burning traces
of the great I AM. . . . In all these revelations of the divine
presence, the glory of God was manifested through Christ. Not
alone at the Saviour's advent, but through all the ages after the
fall and the promise of redemption, "God was in Christ,
reconciling the world unto himself." Christ was the foundation
and center of the sacrificial system in both the patriarchal and the
Jewish age. Since the sin of our first parents, there has been no
direct communication between God and man.
“The Father has given the world into the hands of Christ, that
through His mediatorial work He may redeem man, and vindicate
the authority and holiness of the law of God. All the communion
between heaven and the fallen race has been through Christ. It
was the Son of God that gave to our first parents the promise of
redemption. It was He who revealed Himself to the patriarchs.
Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Moses understood the
gospel. They looked for salvation through man's Substitute and
Surety. . . . (That I Might Know Him, Page 102)
Notice that according to the illustration of The True Vine, Which
was presented by Christ Jesus, the branches that represents man,
they are connected to The Father, but not directly. He--Christ
Jesus is The Living Link between GOD and man. All
communication from GOD came from GOD The Father through
HIS Word--The Son of GOD.
It was through Christ Jesus--The Word of GOD, Who spoke
directly, or through the angels, or even through the prophets,
who testified of Him. For Paul said of HIM by Him…
“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in
time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these
last days spoken unto us by [his] Son….” (Hebrews 1:1, 2),
“Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye
see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable
and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, [even]
the salvation of [your] souls. Of which salvation the
prophets have enquired and searched diligently, who
prophesied of the grace [that should come] unto you:
Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of
Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified
beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that
should follow”
(1 Peter 1:8-11).
“Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but
unto us they did minister the things, which are now
reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel
unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven;
which things the angels desire to look into. Wherefore gird
up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end
for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the
revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not
fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your
ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be
ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is
written, Be ye holy; for I am holy” (1 Peter 1:12-16)
As Christ is The True Vine between GOD and man, then it was
through Him that The Promise was made to Adam and Eve of
GOD’S plan of redemption. It was through Him that the
prophets learned by His Spirit abiding in them, and they in Him,
that they searched to comprehend the things that He would
suffer, and the glory that should follow, which even the angels
desire to look into. It is recorded that…
“…one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man,
that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou
visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the
angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and
didst set him over the works of thy hands: Thou hast put
all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put
all in subjection under him, he left nothing [that is] not put
under him. But now we see not yet all things put under
him” (Hebrews 2:6-8).
“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the
angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and
honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for
every man. For it became him, for whom [are] all things,
and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto
glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect
through sufferings. For both he that sanctifieth and they
who are sanctified [are] all of one: for which cause he is
not ashamed to call them brethren, Saying, I will declare
thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will
I sing praise unto thee” (Hebrews 2:9-12).
“And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold
I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch
then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he
also himself likewise took part of the same; that through
death he might destroy him that had the power of death,
that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of
death were all their lifetime subject to bondage” (Hebrews
2:13-15).
Notice that Christ Jesus needed to partake of the same nature of
flesh and blood, because man, as a result of sin was in a state of
being cut off, or being disconnected from The True Vine of Light
and Life. Which means that man was in the kingdom of darkness
and death, which is comprised of different rules, or no rules at
all, because everything ends in death.
As Paul wrote in his report about Christ, he said of Him that
GOD made Him a little lower than the angels; HE crowned Him
with glory and honor, and did set Him over the works of HIS
Hands and hast put all things in subjection under His feet. For in
that HE put all in subjection under Him, HE left nothing that is
not put under Him. The question and the understanding of the
answers has been a hard saying for many to understand, of how
Christ was made, and yet, it was through Him that all things are
made. Paul wrote and said…
“Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith,
Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast
thou prepared me” (Hebrews 10:5).
Notice that The Word of The LORD was already The Spirit, Who
came from the bosom of The Father. He was already The Light
and Life of every man that comes into the world, according to
John 1:9, because He is The Vine of Life to every man and
woman born into this world to have life by Him.
As man was made by Him, and it is by His Spirit of Life that
abides in the temple of man, to give men Life, then all that He
needed to partake of flesh and blood, to be like His brethren, to
taste death for every man, to destroy the devil, who had the
power of death in holding man in bondage to sin, was to have a
body prepared for Him, to be our Perfect Example, to follow
Him, as The Way to overcome the adversary and sin.
Ellen G. White testified in her report, and said…
“Jesus Christ laid off His royal robe, His kingly crown, and
clothed His divinity with humanity, in order to become a
substitute and surety for humanity, that dying in humanity He
might by his death destroy him who had the power of death. He
could not have done this as God, but by coming as man Christ
could die. By death He overcame death. The death of Christ bore
to the death him who had the power of death, and opened the
gates of the tomb for all who receive Him as their personal
Saviour.” (Lift Him Up, Page 345)
Notice that Jesus Christ had revealed The HUSBANDMAN to
His disciples. And as The Vine Dresser dresses Him with many
branches, which consist of all things that were created by Him in
heaven, and in earth; visible and invisible, whether they are
comprised of thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers,
they all, exist by GOD, WHO sustains all things by The Power of
HIS Word, Who is our Crown of Life.
But in order for Him to become flesh and blood like His
brethren, to be like a branch among His brethren, He clothed His
divinity within the garment of humanity. As The Father is The
SOURCE of all things through The Vine of HIS Word--The Son
of GOD, He gives Life to every man and woman that lives by
Him. And through Him, The Father provided a body for His
Own Spirit to dwell in, to live among His brethren that all, who
receives Him might live by His Spirit in us. For Jesus said to
those, who believed in Him…
“He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth
in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and
I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live
by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven:
not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that
eateth of this bread shall live for ever” (John 6:56-58).
In testifying of The Son of GOD, Who also became The Son of
Man, Paul made it clear that it was GOD, WHO put all things
under The Feet of HIS Son, to rule with HIS Authority. Paul saw
that not all things were put under Him. Because He, Who is
Eternal Life, He has The Same Express Nature as The Father,
WHO is LIFE. But by having a body prepared for His Spirit to
dwell in, as The Son of Man, then He, Who was setup above all
things in heaven and earth, He also became a little lower than the
angels for the suffering of death, to destroy him, who had the
power of death, and to save all, who will believe in Him.
He was crowned with glory and honor, and by the grace of GOD,
He tasted death for every man. He, Who is The True Vine, and
The Link between GOD and man, The Promise of GOD in giving
HIS Word to Adam and Eve, they looked forward in the plan of
redemption, to a Redeemer, Who would save man from sin. But
to redeem man He also had to become one with man, who
because of sin, man was no longer one with GOD.
And being in a world of darkness, where men in darkness could
not comprehend The Light of His Glory, this meant that from the
time that The Promise of GOD’S Word was given, The Way
needy to be prepared for The Son of GOD to come.
It was Christ Jesus, Who spoke to the prophets, in declaring The
Things of Himself through them. It was He, Who declared The
Father Image and Glory to Moses. And through Him The Father
spoke to Moses by HIS Word, because He is The True Vine--The
Faithful Witness of GOD, as HIS Perfect Mediator to man.
But because the children of Israel were fearful of The Glory of
GOD as HE is revealed in Christ--HIS Angel, Moses, who was
also revealing Christ Glory, he testified of Him in his report
about the children of Israel, saying…
“The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out
of the midst of the fire, (I stood between the LORD and
you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye
were afraid by reason of the fire, and went not up into the
mount;) saying, I [am] the LORD thy God, which brought
thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
Thou shalt have none other gods before me”
(Deuteronomy 5:4-7).
Because of their fear to come near to the mount, they made
Moses their mediator, to speak to GOD by HIS Word. And for
forty years in the wilderness, Moses was their go between,
mediating and speaking to GOD by The Mediator of HIS Word.
But in coming to the end of his visible leadership over the
children of Israel, Moses said to the leaders of the children of
Israel…
“The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet
from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto
him ye shall hearken; According to all that thou desiredst
of the LORD thy God in Horeb in the day of the assembly,
saying, Let me not hear again the voice of the LORD my
God, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I die
not. And the LORD said unto me, They have well [spoken
that] which they have spoken. I will raise them up a
Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and
will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto
them all that I shall command him” (Deuteronomy 18:1518).
“And it shall come to pass, [that] whosoever will not
hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name,
I will require [it] of him” (Deuteronomy 18:19).
Notice that for forty years, Moses was speaking for man to GOD,
WHO spoke to man by HIS Word. For He The Son of GOD was
GOD’S Mediator to man, and spoke to man on HIS behalf. But
Moses was a mediator to speak to GOD on behalf of the children
of Israel. But the time of Moses with the children of Israel was
coming to and end, and he gave to them The Promise of GOD’S
Word, that HE would raise up a Prophet like unto him from
among their brethren. And they were to hear GOD speaking unto
them by HIS Word, Who would speak by Him--The Prophet.
And as the time grew closer to the fulfillment of the coming of
The Promised Prophet, other prophets were called upon to reveal
more details about the fulfillment of The Promised Prophet, Who
would be like Moses. Isaiah testified in his report and said…
“And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and
a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the
LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of
knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him
of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and he shall
not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the
hearing of his ears: But with righteousness shall he judge the
poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he
shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the
breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. And righteousness
shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his
reins” (Isaiah 11:1-5).
Notice that not only did Isaiah testify of The Promised Prophet,
Who would be filled with The Spirit of The LORD, and would be
called a Branch, and Zechariah also testified in his report of Him
and said…
“Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set
[them] upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the
high priest; And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh
the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name
[is] The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place,
and he shall build the temple of the LORD: Even he shall
build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory,
and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a
priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be
between them both. And the crowns shall be to Helem, and
to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of
Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of the LORD”
(Zechariah 6:11-14).
Notice that in Zechariah’s report, he testified that “The Counsel
of Peace shall be between them both”, but Who is he speaking
of? Paul testified in his report and said…
“For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God
and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a
ransom for all, to be testified in due time” (1 Timothy 2:5,
6).
Now I know that many have read this verse before. But I would
like us to really take a look at what is being said in these words
by Paul, which will be clear to us on what has been revealed in
The Scriptures.
In his testimony, Paul tells us that,
“…there is one God, and one Mediator”.
But before we continue reading the
rest of the verse, I would like to ask
a question on what Paul has said.
Where is this “one God, and
this one Mediator”?
Paul continues his statement, and
answers the question on where the one
God, and one Mediator is located.
In his testimony, Paul says,
GOD
“…there is one God, and one Mediator”.

Now, Who is this “one God, and one
Mediator” that is “…between God and men”?

Is Paul saying that there is a God and a Mediator
between GOD--The Father and sinful men?
Paul wrote and said…

“Now a mediator is not [a mediator] of one, but God is
one” (Galatians 3:20).
According to Paul’s testimony, Christ “…gave himself a ransom
for all, to be testified in due time,” which is being done even, as
you read this study. Christ Jesus is The Son of GOD, Who is also
The Son of Man. He is The Ladder that The Spirit of Prophecy
speaks about, Which connects earth and heaven in One--Himself.
The Son of GOD, or The Word of GOD, He is The Mediator for
GOD, to speak to men on HIS behalf. And He, Who is also The
Son of Man, to be human like Moses, He is also The Same Son of
GOD, Who abides in a body of flesh like Moses, to mediate for
men to GOD. And He has accomplished His mediatorial work by
Himself, according to Hebrews 1:3, to sit down next to Himself
on the right hand of the Majesty on high.
Now notice The Spirit of Prophecy’s conformation of this, which
reveals both natures of The Son of GOD, Who is also The Son of
Man, to have two expressions of both human and of a divine
nature, to have each with a distinct individuality.
“…although Christ's divine glory was for a time veiled and
eclipsed by His assuming humanity, yet He did not cease to be God
when He became man. The human did not take the place of the
divine, nor the divine of the human. This is the mystery of
godliness. The two expressions human and divine were, in Christ,
closely and inseparably one, and yet they had a distinct
individuality. Though Christ humbled Himself to become man, the
Godhead was still His own. His Deity could not be lost while He
stood faithful and true to His loyalty. Surrounded with sorrow,
suffering, and moral pollution, despised and rejected by the
people to whom had been intrusted the oracles of heaven, Jesus
could yet speak of Himself as the Son of man in heaven. He was
ready to take once more His divine glory when His work on earth
was done.” {5BC 1129.3} {ST, May 10, 1899 par. 11}

By Christ Jesus fulfilling The Promise in Himself, as The Second
Adam, He has made it so that GOD and man will never be
separated in sin again, because He cannot deny His Own Flesh
wherein His Own Spirit dwells.
In her writings Ellen G. White wrote and said…
“As we approach God through the virtue of the Redeemer's
merits, Christ places us close by His side, encircling us with His
human arm, while with His divine arm He grasps the throne of the
Infinite. . . . Yes, Christ has become the medium of prayer between
man and God. He has also become the medium of blessing
between God and man. He has united divinity with humanity. . . .”
(God's Amazing Grace, Page 85 par. 4, 5).
Ellen G. White presented the same thought on this Truth that…
“Christ has encircled the race with His human arm, and with His
divine arm He has grasped the throne of the Infinite and united
man with God, and earth with heaven” (Child Guidance, page 525
par. 3, 4).
When Ellen G. White wrote and said…
“The Comforter that Christ promised to send after He ascended to
heaven is the Spirit in all the fullness of the Godhead, making
manifest the power of divine grace to all who receive and believe
in Christ as a personal Saviour. There are three living persons of
the heavenly trio; in the name of these three great powers--the
Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit--those who receive Christ by
living faith are baptized and these powers will cooperate with the
obedient. (In Heavenly Places Pg. 336.2}
Ellen G. White was not speaking of The Trinity, which the church
has been led to believe. If The Father is The Only True GOD, and
HE has sent HIS Son, Who is The Vine of Life, or The Crown of
Life abiding in all, who live by Him, then by abiding also in a
body that was prepared for His Spirit of Life to dwell in, then He
can also be in the likeness of men, to be a human branch, among
those, who live by Him. By becoming one within the branch of
humanity, to be our Perfect Example in all things, then He has
two natures to be one nature with GOD, as The Son of GOD and
one nature, as The Mediator--The Man Christ Jesus, Who is
between GOD and men, then these words are describing Three
living persons of the heavenly trio.
But there is not Three Gods to form a Trinity. The doctrine of
The Trinity destroys Christ work of Atonement of becoming one
with humanity. For both natures of divinity and humanity are
His.
As Paul said in The Scriptures…
"Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And
there are differences of administrations, but the same
Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the
same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation
of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to
one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another
the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith
by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the
same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to
another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to
another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the
interpretation of tongues” (1 Corinthians 12:4-10).
“But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit,
dividing to every man severally as he will. For as the body
is one, and hath many members, and all the members of
that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is]
Christ. For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body,
whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or
free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit"(1
Corinthians 12:11-13).
“These words were presented to me for you: "In all things it
behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a
merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to
make reconciliation for the sins of the people" (Heb. 2:17),
through the atonement. The repenting sinner is to believe in
Christ as his personal Saviour. This is his only hope. He may lay
hold on the merits of the blood of Christ, presenting to God the
crucified and risen Saviour as his worthiness. Thus through
Christ's offering of Himself, the innocent for the guilty, every
obstruction is removed, and the pardoning love of God flows forth
in rich streams of mercy to fallen man. . . .” (This Day With God,
