The CTBS user interface has five selectable tabs:

Status
Status is the default screen that is displayed when the user interface is started.
The operator selectable options are:

Dictionaries
The CTBS is configured with a default dictionary provided with the AT&T Natural Voices Text-to-Speech engine.
The CTBS provides an interface to create and modify custom (site) dictionaries.
The operator selectable options are:

• Clear
• Exit
• Help

The CTBS allows the user to control/change the volume and speaking rate of the voices and to customize various CTBS
functions

Configuration
Configuration allows the user to specify message/directory locations for both English and Spanish custom &
application dictionaries.
The operator selectable configuration fields are:

Scheduler
The CTBS scheduler allows digitized voice (WAV) files (stored in pre-defined directories) to be scheduled and output to
internal voice processing boards and/or sent (via the local area network) to external destinations.
The operator selectable options are:
• New Message
• Save
• Delete
• View Records
• View Schedule
• Exit
• Help

View Scheduler
View Schedule displays the current broadcast schedule including message name, message creation date, the number of
times the message has been broadcast, and whether the message is broadcast time defined. Messages in the scheduler are
broadcast in a top down manner. As a message is played, the message is highlighted. At the end of the broadcast cycle
the schedule is repeated. As new messages are input into CTBS they are added to the scheduler. At the bottom of the
user interface are options to control the scheduler.

CTBS Voices and Languages
Hello, I’m Crystal, the English female voice. As mentioned in this presentation,
CTBS supports Male & Female voices (with vocalization for Child, Teen, Adult,
Senior) in a variety of languages; English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian … all
with localized accents and pronunciations.
CTBS continues to expand it's offering of new voice fonts and languages as they are
developed and released.
