Search by Name
3. Name Search
The search box will return all indications of each medication
that contains the search term. Any part of the generic or
trade name can be used as the search term. For example,
“succin,” “choline,” “quelicin,” or “anec” will return both
indications of succinylcholine.
You can also specify a mg dose in the search box to further
refine the list. It will show all results that are within 10% of
that dose. If you typed “succiny 52 mg”, then it would take
you to the Paralysis IM dose, above.
Search by NDC number or Barcode
The search box can also be used to find medications using the NDC number on
the label. The first eight digits of the NDC number must be entered (with or

Selecting the Correct Indication

indications. Other indications which have a different dose for the same drug
are identified by a keyword. In the search results for a specific medication, the
dosing guidelines and exact mg dose will be provided on the right-hand side.
