About Department
 Department of Biomedical engineering was established in the year
2002 with an aim to develop manpower in the upcoming field of
modern healthcare industry.
 The department offers an undergraduate course in Biomedical
engineering with a sanctioned intake of 60 students per year.
 The syllabus is carefully designed to meet the requirements of
healthcare industries. It covers both the engineering as well as
medical field application aspects with a special attention towards
design, development and implementation of electronics,
instrumentation and computing techniques for the health care.
 The field of health sector holds a lot of promises and is poised for
phenomenal growth.

Vision
Department of Biomedical Engineering is dedicated for developing
innovative and clinical biomedical technologies, training future generations of
biomedical engineers and cultivating leaders by nurturing the integration of
engineering, science and healthcare.

Future Aspects of Department
 The department is looking forward for the students to get many exciting careers in the
manufacturing units of Medical equipment companies, Medical R&D Institutions and
Hospitals.
 The department has plans to provide hands-on training for students on medical
equipments by industry experts or alumni, who are working with leading Biomedical
equipment companies.
 The students of our department make periodic visit to various Hospitals and Healthcare
industries for getting deep knowledge about the existing medical devices and operation
of healthcare industries. Further, the students carry out in-plant training at prestigious
medical industry/institutions, during their semester break.
