Aims of the project
• To teach the students how to carry out a survey
based on a questionnaire
• To teach the students how to look for and compile
information from different sources
• To enable students become aware of the problem
of cyberbullying
• To inform the students about ways of preventing
cyberbullying
• To show students ways of protecting themselves if
they become victims of cyberbullying.

It is currently reported that up to 69% of young
people experience cyberbullying before the age of
18… but what is it and who does it effect?
Cyberbullying comes in a whole range of different
shapes and sizes and is something that is totally
subjective to the recipient. We define cyberbullying
as the following
Examples of cyberbullying include:
Nasty messages online or on the mobile phone

Comments on your posts or posts about you

Being excluded from online groups and forums

Embarrassing photos being put online without your
permission

Rumours and lies about you on a website

Offensive chat on online gaming

Fake online profiles being created with an intent to
defame you



Cyberbullying can happen anywhere, at any
time.
It can be done anonymously, which can make
you feel even more threatened.
Cyberbullies cannot see your reactions, so they
can go further in their harassment.
Cyberbullying can be witnessed by potentially
thousands of people through media posts or
websites comments.
