Tally.ERP 9 as cause of Issues
Connectivity Issues arise when Shoper 9 is unable to connect to Tally.ERP 9
 Server address and Port No. of Tally.ERP 9 mentioned during mapping may not be
working
 Tally.ERP 9 is not open or Company configured in the interface in not open in
Tally.ERP 9
 Anitvirus/ Firewall is blocking access to Tally.ERP 9
 Do a simple test to verify Tally.ERP 9 is running on given server and port number

Configuration Issues arise due to wrong or incompatible configurations
 State (Legal Boundary) selected in Tally.ERP 9 is not same as Shoper 9
 Tally.ERP 9 is not activated or running in educational mode

Shoper 9 as cause of Issues
Configuration Issues arise due to wrong TCP file settings
 TCP file: File is not copied to Shoper 9 application folder or wrong file is
copied
 Tally.ini file: Entered incorrect TCP file name or path
Mapping issues arise due to inappropriate configuration during mapping
 Server Name and Port Number: Incorrect details of Tally.ERP 9 provided
during mapping
 Other settings: Options selected does not complement the configurations set
in Tally.ERP 9

Shoper Interface Mapping
Ensure that appropriate options are selected during interface mapping for
error free posting of data
 Tally Information
 Appropriate date of posting
 Posting mode for
transactions
 Prefix/suffix vouchers to
avoid duplication
 Ledger formats in Tally
 Mapping existing ledgers

Interface Utilities
It is possible to edit, delete, deactivate/activate a created mapping using
the Interface Tools
 Change Company Information: Allows to change Tally company details
like,
o Server details
o Port details
o Tally Company Name (the company in Tally.ERP 9 has been renamed)
o Activate Offline Posting
 Delete Company: Allows to delete Interface Mapping permanently
 Managing Missing Vouchers: Allows to restore the vouchers that are
deleted in Tally.ERP 9 by re-posting the vouchers (only) that have been
deleted

Shoper Tally Interface – Logs
Logs give status of mapping and details of data transfer through interface
mapping.
 Mapping Log: Created during Shoper 9 Tally.ERP 9 interface mapping and
contains mapping details
 Processing Log: Contains posting information and reason for posting failure.
You can configure to create this log in detail or summary mode using system
parameters
