March 2010 – Vision, Mission and Objectives finalized
September 2011 – Bylaws and Objectives amended
November 2011 – Charitable status with Revenue

Vision:
To be Central Alberta’s world class heritage destination celebrating
the past, present and future of trails, trains and transit.
Mission Statement:
To preserve, promote and share the transportation heritage of our
community and region, and to pass that heritage to future
generations in a sustainable and interactive way through education,
advocacy and nurturing a passion for the continuous evolution of
trail, rail and transit

1/8 size Replication of the
Jubilee 4-4-4 3001 ‘The Chinook’
3001 (the ‘Chinook’) was one of only 5 locomotives of this class designed by CPR
specifically for ‘high-speed’ inter-city passenger service including Calgary-Edmonton from
1936 to 1955. This class established the speed record of 181 km/h (112.5mi/hr) in 1937
that was not broken until 1976. All 5 locomotives were scrapped.
