What is ArticleReach?
Member Libraries
› ArticleReach is a reciprocal article
requesting system. It currently
consists of a consortium of 14
international libraries, including
University of Sydney Library. The
ArticleReach DIRECT catalogue
includes journals held by the
member libraries and allows you to
request articles from titles not held
by the University of Sydney Library.

› Agreed set of standards:
- Processed within 24 hours of receipt (initially excluding weekend and holiday receipts)
- Scanning guidelines:
• resolution of at least 300 dpi
• minimal black space along the margin edges and gutters.
• Copy of the original request used as coversheet
› Balance system, set by III
› Contributed holdings:
- Ejournals excluded
- Journals without ISSNs included
› Communication:
- Consortium monthly teleconference
- Arlir email discussion List

Client Experience
In an ArticleReach Survey University of Sydney Clients told us this about the
Service:
› 88.9% thought it was an excellent service
› 88.9% of them received their requests within 48 hours
› 77.8% thought the scanning quality was good or better, no respondent rated
