Macro Solutions conducted an Information Technology
Program Assessment (ITPA) for the FDIC’s Division of
Information Resource Management (DIRM).
This study identified areas of inefficiency and high
comparative costs, and developed an appropriate
sourcing plan and organizational structure to support an
efficient and effective client-focused IT program. This
study helped to establish the framework for the FDIC’s
future IT goals.
This has enabled the FDIC to better meet the
organization’s current and planned mission of
“preserving and promoting public confidence in the U.S.
financial system by insuring deposits in banks and thrift
institutions for up to $100,000.”

Macro Solutions has participated in multiple ERP projects
in prime and subcontracting roles. Our employees are

The HUD Ginnie Mae (GNMA)
PeopleSoft Financials Project involved an
integrated technical effort in combination with a
detailed functional effort. Macro Solutions was
responsible for leading the technical effort for
the implementation of GNMA’s General Ledger.

The Smithsonian Institution built a custom payroll
interface in Visual Basic to process payroll data
collected by the National Finance Center and create
accounting transactions for posting to their general
ledger system. After the system had been in operation
for a number of years Smithsonian no longer had
access to system design documentation needed to
integrate the PAYES system with their new general
ledger system.
Smithsonian called on Macro Solutions to develop
detailed system documentation of the existing Visual
Basic code and Crystal Reports, and provide system
enhancements to the code on an as needed basis.
Macro Solutions was able to identify the appropriate
resource to assist Smithsonian’s internal staff.
