Holtmann has assumed overall responsibility for the public presentations of small
firms ans global players in a wide range of different branches, always impressively

Foundation as carpenter‘s shop by Wilhelm und Walter Holtmann
The fifties:
Business development as result of the reconstruction of Hannover.
The sixties:
International exhibition construction becomes important foothold.
Big assignment: 18.000 m² roof-construction hall 1 at Hannover Exhibition Ground.
1968 movement to Adam-Stegerwald-Straße, still current premises.

The seventies: 1971 general contractor to build the entire facilities for the sailing competition of the
Olympic Games in Kiel.
Development of a new type of module, nationwide introduced and protected under
the name GEO- Bau.
Continuous development of the exhibition business.
The eighties:
Exhibition business gains positive development. Start of the CeBIT results in some
big exhibition projects.
The nineties:
Challenge of evermore interesting construction assignments e.g. Info-Box at the
Potsdamer Platz, Berlin – Europe‘s biggest construction site in the nineties. Exhibition
booths of Deutsche Telekom AG and other more demanding assignments.
Developement as full-service company.
Today:
Exhibition construction, temporary constructions e.g. pavilions at Expos or other
shows, high-class Shop systems.
Over 100.000 m² exhibition ground floor und 60.000 m² temporary constructions
for the world exhibition Expo 2000 in Hannover.
Pavilion constructions for Expo 2000, Expo 2002, Expo 2005.
Over 300 Shop installations since 2003.
15.000 m² exhibition booths for 43 clients only at CeBIT 2006 e.g..
Warehouse facilities for customer material incl. handling and logistics: 15.000 m².

68 employees work at Holtmann. On top a pool of qualified freelancers exits. Those freelancers
work project-wise for Holtmann.
Jürgen und Claus Holtmann, managing the family business in the second generation, are the
managing partners. The Board is completed by managing director Michael Podubrin, Frank
Peschutter and Matthias Cordes, responsible for the real estate section.
