American Animal Hospital Association - The American Animal Hospital Association
supports dangerous animal legislation by state, provincial, county, or municipal
governments provided that legislation does not refer to specific breeds or classes of
animals.
American Dog Breeders Association
American Humane - American Humane opposes legislation that seeks to ban a
particular breed of dog. Such laws provide a false sense of security as all dogs, when
improperly treated or trained, can present a risk to public health.
American Kennel Club - The American Kennel Club strongly opposes any legislation that
determines a dog to be "dangerous" based on specific breeds or phenotypic classes of
dogs.
ASPCA Dealing with Dangerous Dogs - There is no evidence that breed-specific laws –
which are costly and difficult to enforce – make communities safer for human families
or for the companion animals that are a part of so many households.
American Veterinary Medical Association - The AVMA supports dangerous animal
legislation by state, county, or municipal governments provided that legislation does
not refer to specific breeds or classes of animals.

nuisance and every small violation is
part of the bigger problem which is
everyone’s problem.
