Vinterligaen: The Winter League
• • • • • • Need of matches during winter to keep the girls interest One match pr month Jan-March: artificial grass Age group: Girls 13 – 15 years: most likely age for finishing football The local clubs give the time on the fields -10 degrees C no problem 8 teams pr age group: appropriate to geographically and sporting level

• • • • Especially of sporting value for girls 13-teams Football fields occupied all week: NOT in weekends Lowers the barrier for girls joining the team again in spring All contact towards clubs on team-level (no boardmembers)

• • • • • • 12-year-olds instructors for 8- and 9 year old participants Local arrangement: instructors and participants from the same or neighbouring club Small arrangement: 3 hours on Saturday, 40 kids and 12 instructors Main goal: development of responsibility and self-conficence of the instructors Instructors practising exercises and coaching tecniques 2-3 times in advance Borrowing equipment from the club

• • • • Freedom to the instructors: dynamically change of exercises (big difference in groups: 8 yrs girls vs 9 yrs boys..) Co-operation with the public school: instructors one day off, to planning and practising Low prize and direct communication with the kids coaches 1-2 fathers ”in background” to support instructors if necessary
