WorkShop Supervisors
– till EuroSkills 2016 i Göteborg!
EuroSkills är Europas största yrkestävling för ungdomar.
I november 2016 kommer dessa tävlingar att arrangeras
på Svenska Mässan i Göteborg.
Förberedelserna har startat och vi behöver nu komplettera vår organisation med s k
“WorkShop Supervisors”. Dessa personer skall vara kunniga i yrket, ha goda kunskaper
i engelska och helst ha ett kontaktnät gentemot leverantörer av utrustning och material.
Lokalkännedom om Göteborgsområdet är en fördel.
Uppgifterna är att under tävlingarna ansvara för:

att utrustning och material för yrket finns på plats enligt kravspecifikation
att fungera som kontaktperson för yrkets ansvariga experter
att tillse efterlevnad av säkerhets- och miljöföreskrifter
att kunna åtgärda ev problem som kan uppstå med utrustning
Vi räknar med att uppgiften kräver ca 20–25 dagars arbetsinsats, med tyngdpunkt
på andra halvåret 2016.
Ett uppdrag som workshop supervisor ger kunskap om yrkestävlingar, värdefullt europeiskt
nätverk av experter och leverantörer, branschkontakter samt en oförglömlig upplevelse.

WorkShop Supervisors som kan förbereda sitt uppdrag genom medverkan vid EuroSkills
i Lille den 2–4 oktober i år.
Vår förhoppning är att din nuvarande arbetsgivare skall se ett uppdrag som WorkShop
Supervisor som en kompetensutvecklande insats och stå för lönekostnader. Vi betalar
omkostnader i form av resor och upphälle.

Role and Responsibilities of
the Workshop Supervisor (WSS)
From EuroSkills Competition Rules
Definition
The Workshop Supervisor is a person with qualifications and experience in their accredited
trade who assists the Experts. The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for workshop
installations, preparation of materials, workshop security, Health & Safety, and general
tidiness and neatness of the workshop area.
Appointment
The Host Member/Competition Organiser appoints a Workshop Supervisor for each trade.
He must have good understanding of technical English (written and spoken).
Reporting
Workshop Supervisors report to the Host Member/Competition Organiser. For technical
matters, Workshop Supervisors also report to the Chief Expert.
Special arrangements
Workshop Supervisors are briefed by the Chair of the Competition Development Committee
and the Secretary General on any special arrangements and circumstances for the conduct
of the Competition.
Presence
The Workshop Supervisor must be present in the workshop area from the time that the
Experts start their preparation for the Competition, throughout the Competition and until
all assessment and Experts’ other tasks have been completed.
Neutrality
The Workshop Supervisors’ behaviour towards Competitors must be neutral. They are not
to participate in the discussions on Test Project selection and assessments and, where practical,
should be absent when blind marking takes place. Nevertheless, the Jury may consult with
the Workshop Supervisor if the need arises.
Responsibilities
• Workshop Supervisors must ensure that enough floor area/space is available for machines
and workstations.
• Workstations, as specified in the Technical Outline, must be properly lit by natural or
artificial light to the required industrial standards and be suitable for the particular type
of work to be undertaken.
Workshop Supervisors are responsible for
• Compliance with Health & Safety regulations in the workshop area.
• Provision of all workshop installations, machines, tools, electrical and water
connections, and all special items listed in the Technical Outline and
Infrastructure List.
• Provision of materials for Test Projects as specified by the Technical Outline
and Infrastructure List.
• Maintaining order and tidiness in the workshop.
• Developing and publishing instructions on safety measures and their application.
• Providing facilities for security of Test Project papers and drawings.
• Preparation of instruments and equipment for the assessments.
Breach of rules or Code of Ethics
If a Workshop Supervisor allegedly breaches the rules or Code of Ethics, they will be subject
to the Dispute Resolution procedures described in Section 14.
