Scope of simplification expected

¾ For EU armed forces : ƒ Increased security of supply within the EU: smoother and more predictable deliveries ¾ For certified companies ƒ ƒ and their suppliers: Certified integrators to optimise cross-border supply chains Enlargement of the depth and variety of the European industrial base ƒ More predictability and easier use and reduced administrative burden for SMEs ƒ Ease integration of SME in the supply chains of large integrators ¾ For national authorities ƒ ƒ Improve the overall efficiency of export controls Redeployment of resources to really critical cases

Operational features of certification

Central EU register of certified undertakings - CERTIDER

Foreseen in Article 9 of the Directive It will be accessible on the Commission’s website with input from Member States Design and development work on going Public register to be operational 1st quarter 2012
