Overview of Module 3
It is designed for education administrators and
practitioners of primary, secondary, and tertiary
education in Southeast Asia Region.
It focuses on innovative practices and approaches
in teaching and learning.
It convenes two forums, in 2014 and in 2015.
Each forum has its focal theme and areas of focus.
It develops 10 innovative solutions to ASEANwide issues in education and Human Resource
Development (HRD).
It envisions of establishing a network for research
and development of education innovation and
building a culture of innovative teaching and
learning among the education administrators and
practitioners in the Southeast Asia Region for a
more integrated ASEAN community.
It uses blended learning approach.
Objectives
1. To provide the education administrators and practitioners with the
current best practices and innovative approaches to teaching and
learning;
2. To set a venue for education administrators and practitioners to come
together and identify key issues that they are faced with, and design
innovative solutions, especially in the area of teaching and learning
approaches through forums and online learning community;
3. To build a culture of creative and innovative approaches to teaching
and learning among the education administrators and practitioners in
the region for a more integrated ASEAN community.
4. To establish a network for education innovation among education
administrators and practitioners in Southeast Asia Region

Method
Forum 1 employs a blended learning mode, a combination of
face-to-face (f2f) and online learning sessions.
A. F2F learning session constitutes lecture/presentation and
Q&A. Q&A will lead the participants to small group discussions
enabling them to generate creative and innovative solutions of
the identified key issues that education administrators and
practitioners in the region are faced with.
B. Online learning session consists of 3 parts.
Part 1 - a pre-forum engagement and preparation
Part 2 - after the forum 1 f2f session (deepening forum 1 and
linking forum 1 and forum 2)
Part 3 – after the forum 2 f2f session ( deepening forum 2, and
completion of the two 2 forums)
