Sentou story begins in 1947 in the
South-West of France when Robert
Sentou founded the manufacture
“Bois du Périgord”. With a keen eye
on design, he produced the creations
of Roger Fatus, Charlotte Perriand,
Roger Tallon… renowned designers.
In 1977, he opened his first gallery
in the Marais district in Paris.
Later on, Sentou opened in 1995
a boutique in Saint-Germain des Prés,
then recently, in 2013, a new space
in the place des Ternes area.
Nowadays under Pierre Romanet’s
artistic supervision, Sentou remains
above everything an art de vivre editor
and an exclusive designers distributor.
Since 25 years, the brand distributes
Akari lightings made of Japanese paper
from Isamu Noguchi, as well as the
Tsé & Tsé Associates creations, Claudio
Colucci designs, the illustrator 100drine,
the ceramist Brigitte de Bazelaire,
and is promoting numerous other
design brands.
Sentou is also a design studio which
goes through 60 years of archives
to offer renewed products as well
as bringing out innovative ideas.
We enjoy traveling, discovering, tracking
freshness, meeting new designers,
in order to propose enriched collections
over the years under Sentou art de
