11.Format of Play
(a) 16, 14, 12, 10 Under (Singles)
1st round to Quarter-final set of first to reach 8 games with tiebreak at 7-7.
(b) Semi-Final and Final
Best of 3 sets – 1st and 2nd set tie-break sets, and the 3rd set shall
be played Super Tie-Break of first to reach 10 points winning with
a margin of 2 advantage points.
(c) 8 Under (Singles)
1st round to Quarter final - a tie-break of 10 points, difference of
2 points to win. Only Underarm serve (with 1 bounce) is allowed.
Volley is not allowed.
Semi Final and Final – Best of 3 tie-break games.
(d) Doubles - The *No-Ad Scoring System will be implemented
in this tournament.
*No-Ad Scoring System: If both players have won 3 points, the score is
called deuce; one deciding point shall then be played whereby the receiver
shall choose whether he/she wishes to receive the service from the right
half of the court or the left half of the court. The player who wins the
deciding point wins the game.
Players must be prepared to play maximum 3 matches a day with a
minimum rest period of 30 minutes in between matches.
(e) In this tournament, matches will be played without a Chair
Umpire. Players must keep their own score. If a player feels that
the opponent’s line calls are inaccurate, the players should
inform the referee IMMEDIATELY. Dispute of any nature regarding
a match should be brought to the referee’s attention
immediately. Protests will not be entertained after a match is
completed.

(f) Match courts are STRICTLY for PLAYERS ONLY. Warm up courts
will not be provided.
(g) The condition of the courts are maintained by MBI. Players
must play in any court assigned by the referee. Any request for a
specific court will not be entertained.
(h) For Doubles entry, if one players is unable to play for any
reason, the pair will have to concede a walkover as substitute
partner is not allowed after the entry dateline.
12. Withdrawals
Any player who fails to play or withdraw from any matches
during the tournament without a valid reason shall be
disqualified from the tournament.
13. Rules
The tournament will be conducted in accordance with ITF Rules.
14. Code of Conduct
The ITF code of conduct will be enforced.

16. Inclement
weather
In case of inclement weather, matches may have to be
rescheduled at the discretion of the Tournament Referee.
17. Surface
9 Outdoor Hard Courts only.
18. First Aid
JPAM will be on site during the tournament. Treatment will be
free of charge for on court diagnosis problems and first aid only

19. Waiver of Claims
By submitting an entry, all players agree, as a condition of entry,
that for themselves, their executors, administrators, heirs and
personal representatives, all claims of any, kind, nature and
description are waived, including past, present or future claims
and injuries, if any, sustained in travelling to or from, or
participating in the MSN Perak Merdeka Closed Junior Tennis
C’ships 2014, against MSN and JPN.
Parents/Guardians of ALL players MUST sign the Parental/
Guardian Consent, Acknowledgement and Release Form together
with the Entry Form. Failure to do so may result in non
acceptance of the entry.
