About Bhopal:

About Barkatullah University:
Barkatullah

(BU)

the
oldest university in Bhopal, India. Originally known
as Bhopal University, renamed in 1988 after the Prof.
Barkatullah Bhopali. Barkatullah University has been
accredited as a B category university by the National
Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
About the Host Institution:
University Institute of Technology (UIT)
is an
autonomous AICTE approved Institute of Barkatullah
University, Bhopal and is located within its lush green
campus. The Institute was established in the year 1997
following approval of All India Council for Technical
Education. The Institute offers Undergraduate and
Postgraduate teaching programs in various disciplines of
technology and sciences.
About the Organizing Department: Department of
Applied Chemistry is offering courses in engineering and
environmental chemistry since the inception of UIT, BU
and actively engaged in R&D activities since 2004.The PG
program in Applied Chemistry has been started from
session 2011-12. The department has high capabilities of
research. The department has high recognition amongst the
scientific fraternity of National and International standard .
About ISCA: ISCA (Indian Science Congress
Association) is a professional body under ministry of
science and technology (DST) which works toward the
popularization of science in India. ISCA Bhopal chapter is
working in this direction tirelessly. It organizes scientific
events, seminars, exhibitions, conferences, talks and
various other science motivating activities.
Aim of Program: In recent years we have seen a decline in

diverted toward the commercialization of science rather than
its utilization for development. Thus, the program is organized
for the popularization of Science and Research for college and
school students.
Theme of Program: Science and Technology for Human
Development. Abstracts are invited for oral and poster
presentation by 5th December on the Theme with stress
upon sub themes: Physical & Earth Sciences
Biology and Biotechnology
Computer, Engineering and Mathematical Sciences
Drugs and Cosmetics
Material and Nanotechnology
Science, Communication and Society
In Relevance to Chemistry: A Significant Applied Tool for
Human Welfare and Development.
We also invite the participant for the following activities:
Model Presentation: Theme based working or static models
(Max three groups from an institution and one group should be
of two students only) are invited.
Debate:- Team of two one in for and one against the motion
is invited. Topic, “Science and Technology is essential for
Human Development”.
Registration Fee: Up to 5th December 2014
For Poster /Oral Presentation:Rs. 300/- for Students and Research Scholars
Rs. 400/- for ISCA Members:
Rs. 500/- for Faculty and Delegates
For Models:Rs. 300/- per Group
For Debate: Rs 100 per Participant
After 5 December Rs. 100/- extra will be charged
Spot Registration: Rs. 500/- for all participants.
The Abstract of maximum 200 words, Times New Roman,
12 font size with author name and affiliation should be sent
before 5th December 2014. Afterwards publication in
proceeding cannot be assured.
Important:
The accepted papers will be Published in an International
SCI journal .
NOTE:
No TA/DA and accommodation will be provided rather in
vicinity of the campus affordable accommodation is available.
