SAP NetWeaver Business Client
Role-based navigation
In General
Roles (PFCG) are used to define authorization settings as well as the navigation structure used in the UI client
SAP NetWeaver Business Client
NWBC reads the navigation structure from the role(s) and builds the navigation content visualized to the user In case the role doesn‘t provide a maintained navigation structure, NWBC automatically uses that users might now from SAP GUI. The SAP Menu The navigation structure is maintained through PFCG under tab „menu“ A whole set of new settings has been introduced to PFCG in the last relases to make navigation behaviour in NBWC as flexible as possible A valuable help to learn how to maintain the roles is the NWBC documentation
