ABOUT THE SPELL BEE
from classes 1 to 12 are
segregated into 6 Groups
depending on the classes they study,

to compete in their respective groups
WIZ National Spell Bee engages students in a
—
different competition route - testing their
knowledge of spelling, thereby engaging them in
the English Language practice to excel in academics
and all-round development in their growing years.
Inspire many young minds to improve spelling skills,
—
communication skills, vocabulary, grasping
concepts, pronunciation and thereby leading to
correct usage of English Language which is
presently at risk.
WiZ National Spell Bee is a progressive learning
—
methodology with three rounds in School Level,
Five rounds in the Interschool, Seven rounds in the
State Level.
This Language development programme comprises
—
learning through playway method and a healthy
competition is thus encouraged.

The competition starts at the school level

simultaneously in all the States, and is open for
school students from Classes - I to XII.
The competition progresses from School level to

Inter School, State level and Mega Finals which
will be held every academic year.
Students who qualify in the School Level will be

eligible for Interschool written round and
Interschool written round qualifiers will be
eligible for State Level written round.
Students who qualify in the written round of
—
interschool and State level will be eligible for the
oral round of the respective level to decide the
rank holders.
Participants have to score the required cut off
—
marks in the written round of each level for
eligibility to the next level.
SPELL IT RIGHT
There will be a nominal participation fee at each
—
level and a preparatory booklet ‘WORD BANK’ will
be issued against registration.

STATE GRAND FINALE
SPELL IT RIGHT. In this Oral round, the Participant must
spell aloud the words given to them from a
predetermined list of spelling bee words. This round takes
place on a miss-and-out basis, eliminating as they
misspell a word from the 6th word onwards.
