NOTE FOR ENTIRE POWERPOINT:
•
For accessibility compliance, each document should have a title, which can be added under the file > info > properties
section in PowerPoint. The current template has the title “Design Public Hearing Template”. Please change this to the
appropriate project name. For ex. “Design Public Hearing: Whittier Bridge Replacement”
•
Depending on your PowerPoint version you are using, the formatting may have changed on this template. Reformat as
necessary
NOTE FOR ALL SLIDES:
•
Please read all the notes located at the bottom of each slide. They will provide individual instructions for each slide
•

•
The font size must be at a minimum size of 20. Anything smaller will be difficult for the audience to see.
•
The font type must be apart of the “Eras” collection

•
Consider “bull pen slides” to address FAQ. “Bull pen slides” should follow after traditional presentation and should be
based on anticipated questions or concerns; Maps and/or diagrams or project area may be useful to address questions;
Remember MassDOT Accessibility standards:
•
Use the Accessibility Checker to find errors. Go to the “File” Tab. Then, “Check for Issues” and “Check Accessibility”

•
Avoid animations

Include Alternate Text with each photo, chart/table, or shape. Alternate text helps screen readers understand info

the format command. 2) Switch to the Alt Text tab. 3) Type a description of the photo into the Title and Description text
boxes.
•
Never use the Tab key to separate lists of text into columns within a single text box.
