Germany, David Cameron, Prime Minister
of England, declared that UK’s
multiculturalism failed after all.
• Nicolas Sarkozy, President of France, said
while focusing too much on immigrants’s
identity, French forgot to brace France’s
identity.
Multiculturalism in Korea
• Korea is rapidly becoming a multicultural
society with more and more foreigners w
ho come to Korea to acquire Korea’s nati
onality every year. International marriage
s have increased to the point of approxi
mately 12% of the total marriages in Kor
ea. Every year, over 3 million women fro
m Asian countries such as China, Philippi
nes, and Vietnam marry Korean men.

they have suffered from it.
Koreans are not ready to accept
multicultural families yet.
