Vocabulary
Ms. Madison
Directions:
Vocabulary is more than word/definition memorization. It’s even more than having a vague idea of
a word’s meaning via context clues. We understand language best when we explore and manipulate
language, when we play with it. But like anything, what one student finds intriguing might seem
mundane and tedious to another, which is why even learning new vocabulary is best done at the
individual level.
As you read The Crucible, you will keep track of the words YOU find intriguing. These might be
words that you don’t really know well, words that confuse you, or words that have another
connection to you.
Create your own Personalized Vocabulary slide show & share it with me. Each time you discover
another word, add it to your Master List and choose one of the three templates to explore it
further.
