application page.

to get to the application page.
Please review the information under the Post It
On the left are the applications. It is very
important to complete the correct application
when applying for a St. Luke’s rotation.
Please note the different applications.
If a student has never been to St. Luke’s for any
clinical rotations. They will complete the New
Student Application
If the student has completed a rotation at any St.
Luke’s facility they need to complete a Returning
Student Application.
Students need to select the right “code”.
This box is how we split our students. If a
Nursing student selects the “Medical
Students” option it will go to another
Placement Coordinator. Please be sure to
Select “All Other Students”.
When the application is complete. Click
“Submit” at the bottom.
The message that is circled means you have
successfully submitted the application. Do
not resubmit if you see this message. It will
create a Duplicate Account.
When the application comes through I
receive a notification via E-Mail.
Be aware. It takes up to 48 hours for a
Placement Coordinator to get back to you.
When your application has been processed
you will receive an E-Mail notifying you of
changes.
This E-Mail included the Sumtotal
instructions in the “Notes” section.
You’ll want to read the directions very
carefully. There is a lot of useful
information in this E-Mail.
It is very important to “Copy and Paste” this
exactly in your browser.
When you get to the SumTotal homepage
it will have a “Create your own account”
option at the bottom.
If you created an account as a student. Do
not click “Create your own account”
Instead log into SumTotal using your
previous information.
Please ALWAYS use your school email as
your username.
It will take up to 72 hours for us to activate
your account.
When you get to the bottom of the
application there is section that asks for a
“Code”.
Please Select student:Medical_1. (if you
are a St Lukes Employee select
student:Current Employee)
Whenever you have questions about what
to do refer back to the instructions sent in
the E-Mail.
When all the fields are completed. Click
“Submit”
Once you have clicked submit it will redirect
you to this screen. From this point it will
take up to 3 business days for us to approve
the account.
Anytime the Username is entered
incorrectly we will automatically fix it.
The Username will always be the student
assigned University E-Mail address.
After the account has been approved you
will need to login using the information
used to set up the account.
When you log into your account for the first
time all your required education will be
under the “To-Do” tab.
When you have no records to display you
need to check your training transcripts to
make sure everything is complete.
To get to the training transcripts, click learn.
It will bring down this drop down box, from
there click “Learning Activity Reports” then
“Training Transcripts”.
Modules will populate in your “To-Do” tab
30 days before they expire.
Once you’ve completed your Sumtotal training you will
receive a confirmation E-Mail from your placement
coordinator. The format will look similar to this but the
text will differ depending on discipline.
This E-Mail will have instructions for badge
and parking. If you have any questions,
please contact Alex Erickson at
[email protected].
