Tortoises are a type of turtle that live there whole life on land. Sadly
some animals eat baby tortoises, for example raccoons and foxes eat
baby tortoises. To add on the speckled tortoise grows to four inches
long. On the other hand other turtles are big.
Box turtles live mostly live in Mexico. They will eat fruits,
veggies and a lot of worms. Box turtles can protect them self
and hide in their shell! To add on, Box turtles can live up to 100
years.
Sea turtles live their whole life in the
ocean. They mostly eat crab, shrimp
and fish. To add there are 7 different
species that exist. The Leather Back
Sea Turtle can grow to 8 feet long!
 Habitat: Australia and the U.S
 Food: Fish, insects, nuts, seeds, snails, water, plants,
worms, frogs, salamanders, and other turtles!
 Fact: Snapping turtles have very strong jaws.
 Another fact: Turtles were around when Dinosaurs
where!
 There are some turtles
that are cartoony for
example Yertle The
Turtle. Published April 12th
1958. It sold over
1,ooo,ooo ( one million)
copies. Yertle is the king
of the pond, he wants to
be higher than the moon.
Yertle stacked all the turtles
and then went to the top of
the stack of turtles. Then
the bottom turtle burped
and Yertle fell down into
the mud.
