Dismissal Procedures
Bus students (Keep bus pass in backpack)
Walkers
Lanyard system
Photo I.D. is required at pick-up
Early dismissals interfere with learning
Snacks and Birthdays
Community snack in the classroom (No peanut-butter
snacks please.)
Donations are welcome
Fruit and veggie snack
Birthday celebrations at snack time
Only store packaged food is allowed (nothing
homemade)

Kindergarten has two field trips
Chaperones are welcome, but must have a BCI check
prior
Volunteers are welcome in classroom, but must have a
BCI check
What does my child need to bring?
Backpack
We will provide all the other supplies needed
Your child should have crayons and pencils available at
home to use for projects
Spare clothes kept in backpack(Label everything!)
What can I do to help my child?
Read! Read! Read! Talk about the stories!
Practice writing name, capital letter at beginning,
lower case for all others
Practice counting objects all around you,
Practice describing things you see in detail
What can I do to help my child?
SELF HELP skills:
Button own pants
Put on/take off jacket
Tie shoes
Practice putting papers in folder
Bathroom
Donations needed:
Tissue boxes
Paper towels
Napkins
Wipes
Snacks
Hand sanitizer
Dry erase markers
On the first day of school:
Bring your child to the school yard by 8:55
Your child should have a backpack (LABEL it please)
Hug your child “good-bye” at the school yard (Smile)
At pick-up time, have your I.D. ready, we can NOT
dismiss your child to you without an I.D.
Your child will take home many forms for you to fill
out, please fill out and return the next day
Please write your child’s name neatly on all forms
