What is Polygon?
•Polygon is a part of NAESC- the
National Association of Engineering
Student Councils
•Polygon is the voice of the
engineering student body at UWMadison
•Polygon’s mission is to foster
cooperation and communication
among students, student
organizations, the College of
Engineering, administration, and
industry
Polygon by the Numbers
•Original Polygon constitution dates back to early 1900s at UW
•Core officer team of 24 members
•Umbrella organization for over 40 organizations within the CoE
•Provides over $35,000 in funding for CoE organizations
•Bi-weekly meetings with the Deans in engineering
Why are there Polygon representatives?
Bring student feedback to general meetings
– Biweekly meetings
– Concerns of students within the college
– Differential tuition ideas
Vote in college-wide delegates
Represent organization’s voice
Return information back to organizations
Vote on funding proposals

Conclusion
• Dues (pizza cost) – $15/semester, $25 for year, ASAP
• Website refresh – stop down if you want to add
some new features to our website, no experience
is necessary
• Inaugural Fall survey – by the time you get home
you should have an email from Tim pointing you to
an 11-question survey, I would appreciate your
input.
