How To Place Your Order
Go to State Agency users website: www.westaff.com/louisiana

 Determine job classification, give thorough job description, work
hours and start date.
 Hourly rate is based upon job description and job classification
 Maximum assignment length is 680 hours according to State
Contract Guidelines
 Complete a Temporary Help Requisition Form and have
approved
 Approved requisition forwarded to local Westaff Office

What You Can Expect
 Westaff will contact you to confirm receipt of requisition
 Westaff searches local database for best candidate fit
 Westaff will contact you with name of employee and start date
 For most orders, you can expect the position to be filled within
48 hours
 Arrival checks on start date and follow up calls during
assignment to insure quality and performance

Westaff Is The Legal Employer
 Employees are paid by Westaff based on approved timesheets
 Timecard options include an electronic timecard, individual
written timecard and written multiple timecard.
 Westaff is the legal employer and responsible for all local, state
and federal withholdings
 Westaff should ordinarily handle all “assignment ending” notices
or “terminations” of employees. Please notify the local Westaff
office to end temporary assignments and Westaff will notify the
employee.

Co-Employment Issues
 Westaff employees are on assignment to the State Agency and
work under the supervision of the State Agency. Westaff will
establish pay rates with employee based on job description and
scope of work.
 Westaff must be notified by State Agency of any performance or
behavioral issues. Westaff will discuss performance issue with
employee
 Assignment may be ended at any time by State Agency but
Westaff must notify employee
 Accidents or injuries must be reported immediately to local
Westaff office.

Invoice Process
 Invoice sent directly to “Bill To” address on the Requisition form
 The Agency Billing Reference Number (Purchase Order
Number) on the Requisition will be referenced on the invoice.

Each Agency will be responsible for determining internal
procedures for processing of invoices. Any discrepancies must
be reported immediately to local Westaff office
 Contract requires agencies to process and pay invoices within
30 days
